Derrel R. Dearing “Three Wheeler”
Derrel R. Dearing “Three Wheeler”, 69, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at his home with his loving family beside him.
He was born November 25, 1945 at Enid, Oklahoma, the son of Ernest and Thelma Myers Dearing. He served in the U.S. Army for 8 years, one year in Korea, 5 years in Germany and 2 years in Vietnam. Derrel was a truck driver for many years passing through 49 states missing only Alaska. Derrel worked for Charles Burns of Cimarron for 46 years and one year with Vic Fisher. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cimarron.
On December 16, 1972 he married Shirley Scott at Cimarron, Kansas. She Survives.
Other survivors include: 1 son, Kenneth Dearing and wife Mandy, Spring Hill, Kansas; 1 daughter, Keena Campbell and husband Bryan, Cimarron, Kansas; 3 sisters, Carolyn Henery, Marylin Isabell and Wonda Dearing; 6 grandchildren, Haydn, Jordyn and Ethan Campbell and Colten, Jaydan and Ashten Ebeling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kenneth Dearing and sister, Donna Russ
Memorial service will be 10:30 am Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Cimarron United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mike Keating presiding. Book signing will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Cimarron, Kansas.
There will be no public visitation, cremation has taken place.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice of the Prairie or the Cimarron United Methodist Church both in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 446, Cimarron, Kansas 67835.
