Two GCHS bowlers make all-state team

Garden City, KS (wesernkansasnews.com)-Garden City senior bowler Alexa Hemmert and junior Tristan Funk were named to the Kansas Coach’s Association All-State team. 

Hemmert placed fourth individually at the state tournament in March while Funk helped his team to a fourth-place finish in Wichita. 

“It’s an honor to receive this award,” Hemmert said. “It’s an amazing feeling. 

Funk echoed Hemmert’s sentiments. 

“I want to thank my teammates. They’re the reason I made the team. It’s an honor.”
