Cunningham: Legislature Did Not Listen Before Changing Education Funding Model

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) While a lawsuit proceeds on properly funding schools a change over from the current funding model to block grants leaves districts in a jam for now. With all the controversy surrounding the move, USD 443 Superintendent Alan Cunningham of Dodge City was asked directly whether the legislature even listened to the concerns of school districts.

There is an alternate fund that Dodge City may tap into for now.

The courts will take up the issue May 7th.
