Why Timing is Everything For New DCCC Student Activities Center
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) While Dodge City Community College pushes forward for their new Student Activities Center, there was a time when the project was in doubt even before it started.
Since part of the project hinged on funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to build a storm shelter, budget cuts almost did it in.
DCCC Foundations Director Roger Proffitt says they are getting 500-thousand from FEMA and have already raised 1.5 million dollars. Total cost for the activities center is estimated at 8.2 million dollars.
