Florinda Isabel Servantez

Florinda Isabel Servantez, 74, died Monday February 23, 2015 at Homestead Health and Rehabilitation in Garden City.  She was born November 30, 1940 at Clayton, New Mexico to parents Arturo and Dulcinea (Leal) Cruz.  She married George Servantez on August 29, 1958 at Clayton, New Mexico. He survives

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church

Mrs. Servantez was born in Clayton, New Mexico but was a long time resident of Garden City. She also lived in Emporia for 13 years. Being the only daughter in her family she learned to be independent. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, fishing, playing bingo, dominoes, and poker, and listening to her husband play “Volver, Volver” on the organ. She kept her grandkids on their toes with her sense of humor. Besides caring for her husband and children she worked at St. Catherine’s for 20 years, first as a Nurses Aid and later as a Unit Clerk. 

She was preceded in death by her parents- Arturo and Dulcinea Cruz, and brothers- Tony, Art, Ernest and George Cruz.
