Finney County Spelling Bee Winner is All Smiles

Plymell, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Meet the winner of Saturday’s Finney County spelling bee Jillian Artus, a sixth grader at Plymell Elementary who says all that cramming paid off.

Artus who was only told the day before that she would be participating in the spelling bee is happy to have won it for those that supported her.

Artus and spelling bee runner-up McKenna Jagels of Charles O. Stones Intermediate Center will go to the state competition in Hays next month.
