Hochevar ejected in Kansas City’s loss to the Angels

Anaheim, Calif. (westernkansasnews.com)–Luke Hochevar gave up eight runs in three-plus innings before being ejected by home plate umpire Bob Davidson for throwing at a batter, as the Kansas City Royals lose another series in an 11-6 loss to Los Angeles Wednesday afternoon. Billy Butler hit a two-run shot and Jeff Francoeur drilled a three-run home run for the Royals. Butler also had an RBI single in the ninth inning. Kansas City heads to Seattle to begin a four-game series beginning tonight. Luis Mendoza will start for the Royals, while the Mariners are scheduled to start Jason Vargas in a 9:10 start at Safeco Field in Seattle.
