Charitable Groups Excited to Begin Holding Raffles
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Non-profits and other charitable organizations will be able to hold raffles sometime next year after getting overwhelming approval from Kansas voters last month. While the fine details on implementing this still need ironed out, Miles of Smiles Therapeutic Riding Director Kate Howland anxiously awaits expanding on this opportunity.
The legislature is still considering how to have oversight over raffles while still allowing charitable groups flexibility in how they are run.
