Buster Cross Country Coach resigns

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-After spending less than five months on campus, Garden City Community College men’s and women’s track and cross country coach Matt High resigned from his post effective December 10. 

“A search will ensue immediately,” Athletic Director Ryan Ruda said. “

Assistant coach Doug Marshall takes over on an interim base. 

High came to Garden City after spending a year as the track coach at Richard Bland College of William and Mary in Petersburg, VA. Before that, he served as the Athletics Director for the City of Sunny Isles Beach in Miami, Fl. High has also had coaching stop sat Virginia Intermont College, East Tennessee State, Stephen F. Austin and the University of Connecticut. 

High replaced Ryan Turner, who left after last season and is now the coach at Butler Community College.
