KSHSAA names new Assistant Executive Director for Communications/Sports Information
Topeka (KSHSAA)–The Executive Board of the Kansas State High School Activities Association has selected Jeremy Holaday, of Manhattan, Kansas, to serve as Assistant Executive Director for Communication/Sports Information. Holaday will also assume administrative responsibilities for the sports of baseball and softball during the coming year.
A graduate of Rock Creek High School, Holaday earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the Kansas State University School of Journalism, with a minor in Leadership Studies and has been working toward a master’s degree in student development through the KSU College of Education while serving as a graduate assistant with the KSU Athletic Department. During his undergraduate and graduate studies, Holaday worked three years in the Sports Information Department for KSU Athletics, and two years in event management, overseeing events including collegiate golf, equestrian and track meets as well as KSU football and basketball games. Having played high school baseball for 4 years, Holaday has been a KSHSAA registered umpire, assigned to work regional tournaments in north central Kansas in recent years, and also coached American Legion teams in the Manhattan area.
Holaday will begin his duties with the KSHSAA in late July.
