Hugoton Schools: Playing the Waiting Game
Hugoton, KS (westernkansasnews.com) USD 210 in Hugoton is being considered for a waiver from several key state requirements in education. One of the exemptions could allow the district to have greater flexibility in the teachers they hire.
Superintendent Mark Crawford is also looking for wiggle room in several other areas.
Crawford says this has been a slow process, but he is confident that Hugoton will hear back from the state board of education later this month.
