SCHS Cross Country has high hopes for a great season
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–With the season one starting one week from today, the Scott City Beaver Cross Country squad feels they have something special this year. Numbers may be the same, but overall talent could be higher for the Beavers. The girls will be able to field a team with six runners out, two of those are returners from last year, while the boys could have as many as 14 members, and coach Kevin Reese feels like this could be his deepest team during his tenure as coach.
Weather conditions have been cooler than the past few years for their practices. Team members have logged more miles and are looking to rebound from a miss of the state cross country meet in 2013.
