Farmers Unite Against Growing Power of EPA
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Fighting the overreach of the Environmental Protection Agency and extending what falls under the US Waterways Act is not the only thing that has farmers concerned. During Friday’s meeting at the Finney County Fairgrounds Farm Bureau Board member Jim Sipes is worried that farmers will lose more power over what they put in their own fields.
Sipes believes that the group they have put together is well-organized to fight back.
Sipes also keeping a close eye on the listing of the lesser prairie chicken.
