Locals take Ladies Southwest Pro Am
Garden City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-The three had never played as a team together. On Wednesday, you would have never been able to tell.
Debbie Guy, Michel Knoll and Suzie Gooden-all from Garden City, took home first place in the Cattle Empire Ladies Scramble-shooting a field-best 64.
“Everybody just did their part,” Gooden said. “When we needed a put, we got it.”
The rest of the squad was rolling too.
“We definitely had a great time,” Guy said.
Meantime Alex Carpenter, from Dallas, TX. was the individual winner on the men’s side-shooting a 70.
“The course played really well,” Carpenter said. “The greens were really fast, and you have to like that.”
