Key races today include State House 122 between incumbent Russ Jennings and Stan Rice. State House 125 in Seward County has County Commissioner Jim Rice go against businessman Shannon Francis. Three candidates are competing for the open seat on the Finney County Commission David Crase; Lon Pishny and Charles Sinclair. Two candidates are in the Republican Primary for judge in the six county 16th district/division one between Michael Giardine and Sidney Thomas. The town of Utica will vote on a 1 percent sales tax for making infrastructure improvements.
State races include five Republican candidates running for insurance commissioner. Republican will decide on the nomination for US Senate between Doctor Milton Wolf and incumbent Pat Roberts. Democrats will choose between Chad Taylor and Patrick Weisner.
