Another Place to Turn in Times of Trouble
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) City Commissioners in Garden City Tuesday approved setting up a new safe house for abused women and their children. Sister Trudy Tanner explains what this place is designed to do.
A number of organizations in town are helping with this effort. The safe house would be at an undisclosed location. Backers of the plan still need final approval from planning and zoning. The hope is to have the home ready this fall.
