Parties Hope Train Ride Will Bring About Good Discussion On Future of Chief
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Never has a train ride been so important. State Secretary of Transportation Mike King along with the President of Amtrak and Chairman of BNSF are riding together Friday with the goal to discuss the future of the Southwest Chief.
King is confident all sides want what is best for our area. The trip will allow them a great opportunity to talk.
The transportation department has already supported Garden City in their Tiger grant application. The train will stop in Dodge City at 1:45 and Garden at 2:45.
