GC Police Make Arrests in Two Separate Cases
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Garden City Police were busy late last week. Officers made two arrests in a suspected child sexual assault case of a girl. SWAT teams were called to a residence where the suspect 36 year old Sean McKenzie was holed up. McKenzie was a recent escapee from Lansing State Prison. He was arrested without incident. McKenzie is the boyfriend of 32 year old Jessica Romero who is the girl’s mother and has been charged with child endangerment and obstruction.
Officers also made an arrest of 46 year old Willie Jackson. The three month long investigation centered around suspected distribution of crack/cocaine from Jackson’s residence on North 1st Street. Upon entering the home police say they discovered what looked like methamphetamine. Jackson has been charged with possession and intent to distribute.
