A New Tool to Help Police
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The newest addition at the Dodge City Police Department is a robot. Bought with grant money the robot is just another resource officers have at their disposal.
Police Chief Craig Mellecker says the robot weighs 58 pounds and has a long arm. The unit is controlled by remote control and if needed can be lent out to other police departments in the area.
