Scott City Superintendent to Leave at End of Month
Scott City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) USD 466 Superintendent Bill Wilson gave the school board a written letter of resignation at last night’s meeting and it was accepted. Wilson led Scott City schools the last three years. The school district recently had to make up a 700 thousand dollar budget shortfall by cutting programs and asking that teachers take a two percent pay cut for the 2014-15 school year. Superintendent Wilson decline to comment on his resignation, but was open to talking in the near future. The district is also looking for a new middle school principal. Jim Howard announced his intention to resign as well.
