New Federal Regulations Causing More Flight Cancellations
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Cancelled flights out of both Dodge City and Liberal airports to Denver have become a common problem. The root cause is new federal regulations carrier Great Lakes airlines and others have to follow.
Dodge City Airport Director Corey Keller says as a result Great Lakes went from 304 pilots to 78. Still the airline received a key exemption back in February if they lightened their load.
Keller also knows Great Lakes is doing all they can to get more of their pilots through flight school so that the rate of cancellations will go down.
