Garden City 3, Andover 1

In the 5th place game of the Goddard tournament, the Lady Buffs-despite battling a stiff wind for most of the match, beat Andover 3-1. 

After falling behind 1-0, Garden City (2-2) scored their first goal when Tiffany Butler found amber Miller in the 48th minute. Evenly Rodriguez made it 2-1 in the 6th minute before capping the scoring with her second goal: A corner kick from Lauren Walz. 

“I felt like we didn’t do a great job of matching their intensity in the first half,” Coach Josue Negron said afterwards. “But we did that in the second half.”

Garden City had 11 shots on goal; Andover eight
