KS State Supreme Court Tells Legislature To Improve Education Funding
Topeka, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Kansas Supreme Court decided Friday in a 110 page ruling that the legislature wasn’t acting within its constitional responsibilities to adequately fund schools. State Representative John Doll says in skimming the decision two things stood out.
As for one of the four school districts that initiated this lawsuit Superintendent Alan Cunningham in USD 443 Dodge City was pleased, but called it only a partial victory.
Both sides wanted to get more details about the decision. We’ll have more on what it means next week.
