The Top 75 Junior Golfers Will Compete for the Titles Today in 5 Age Divisions
Garden City-(westernkansasnews.com) The 53rd Boys Kansas Junior Amateur Golf Tournament Championship for 2012 at Buffalo Dunes in Garden City is down to the top 75 linksters in five different age divisions after the first 36 holes played over the last two days. The final 18 holes will be played today to determine the Junior Champions in the five age groups of 14 through 18 and under. Ten Southwest Kansas linksters are still in the Tournament in all five divisions, including four in the 14 and under age group with three from Garden City, Taylor Larsen, Daniel Gaspar and Sion Audrain, along Matthew Mowery from Cimarron. In the 15 and under group there is only one SWK player left, Corey McCann from Ashland, also just one in the 16 year old divison, as Dodge City junior Levi Bone is third in this group after firing a two total of 156. The 17 and under age division has Juan Ollarzabal from Garden City is 8 over par and Jace Larsen from Dodge City is a plus 17. In the 18 and under division, Zach Kirby from Dodge City sets in good shape at 10 over, just three strokes behind the leader Roy Tripp from Leawood Kansas
