GCCC Students Experience the Gift of Giving
(westernkansasnews.com) Garden City, KS–Having a blanket can give someone warmth and security. What does it do for a cancer patient? Cosmetology students at Garden City Community College found out after they recently made a donation of homemade blankets to the Central Care Cancer Center in town.
Public Relations Director Marcia Stephenson says the center treats both radiation and chemotherapy patients. One thing is certain, the gift of blankets will be put to good use.
Stephenson is hopeful the college and cancer center can team up on another project soon.
