Darrell Walker
Darrell Walker, age 69, died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at his home in Pierceville. He was born September 3, 1944 at Garden City, the son of William Wesley & Rebecca Lucille (Eichenauer) Walker. Darrell married Marcella Waltz on June 3, 1962 at Garden City.
Darrell was a lifetime Finney County resident. He was a self employed farm equipment trader. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, antique tractor shows and especially his grandchildren’s activities. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son- Jimmy & 1 brother- Walter.
Survivors include his wife, Marcella Walker of their home; 2 daughters, Brenda Spears of Winfield, Linda Lindeman of Manhattan; 2 sons, Duane Walker of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Danny Walker of Garden City; 4 sisters, Charlotte Newman of Syracuse, Sharon Schmidt of Simi Valley, California, Barbara Gibeaut of Simi Valley, California, Darlene Walker of Garden City; 1 brother, Don Walker of Lakin; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service: 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Rev Terry Major officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Pierceville Federated Church in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
