Leave a Legacy Cancer Benefit Run Draws Big Numbers
(westernkansasnews.com) Garden City–The reason didn’t matter, only the effort. Runners from throughout the region participate in this year’s Leave A Legacy 10K/5K run at Lee Richardson Zoo to raise money in the fight against cancer. Vince Koons of Meade came back after his sister suggested he run a year ago.
Theresa Irsik of Ingalls was thankfully the weather cooperated.
Race organizers report 287 people participated. Organizers are still determining the amount raised. Their goal was $20,000.
