Dodge City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-When coaches in the Jayhawk Conference voted on where each team would finish this season, it was easy to pick Dodge City last. After all, they finished 0-9 in 2012.
What those other coaches failed to realize is that when Athletic Director Casey Malek hired Gary Thomas away from Dupage, he brought with him a winning culture; oh yeah and winning players.
Fast forward to week seven of the 2013 season, and the Conquistadors are in first place. How’s that for parity. Sports Director Mike Pilosof got a chance to catch up with the first-year head man.
