Buster Volleyball drops tough one on the road
Cloud, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-Garden City Community College Volleyball Coach Harvey Sanders has seen this story before; for the Busters, they hope the book is burned come playoff time.
Sanders bunch watched an early lead evaporate in a 25-15, 17-25, 18-25, 15-25 loss to Cloud on Wednesday night.
“The first set was probably the best volleyball we’ve played all year,” Busters Coach Harvey Sanders said afterwards. “We were as consistent as I’ve seen. But after that, they (Cloud) started to serve really well, and we couldn’t match their intensity level.”
The Busters dominated the opening frame only to watch the Thunderbirds snag the final three sets in rather convincing fashion.
Next up Busters (1-9, 0-2) vs. Barton County; Saturday 2 p.m. at Perryman Athletic Complex
