Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–After one year at Scott City, Lady Beaver coach and middle school physical education teacher Lori Oestreicher has resigned to take a teaching position in Iola. Oestreicher led Scott City to a 3-18 record in the 2012-13 season, with a team that showed significant improvement throughout the season, despite a dip in the win column from the previous year. They scored an average of around 43 points per game, and hit the 50-point mark eight times this year.
Oestreicher was the head coach at Northeast High School in Arma for two years prior to taking the Scott City job.
A search for the head girls basketball position, assistant volleyball coach and middle school pe position is underway, and was posted on the kansasteachingjobs.com site Tuesday.
