No 4 Seed Kansas State Opens Today With La Salle
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – Kansas State and La Salle are in many ways mirror images of each other. The fourth-seed in the West Region, Kansas State (27-7) dumped a two-post lineup for one featuring four guards early in the season, and the results have been astounding. The Wildcats earned a share of their first Big 12 title in 36 years. Now, they’ll be going against another four-guard lineup from La Salle (21-9), which likes to pester teams on the perimeter and has shown a propensity for popping the 3-pointer. The No. 13 seed Explorers will be playing Friday, just two days after beating Boise State in a “First Four” game in Dayton, Ohio.
