Structure fire in Garden City Monday
Garden City, Kan.–A single-story residence in Garden City was fully evacuated on Monday afternoon after a structur fire.
Just after 2:30 pm, the Garden City Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a structure fire at 2306 C Street, Garden City, Kansas. All members of the family were reported to have evacuated.
Upon arrival, Command 4 found a single-story residence with heavy smoke coming from the eves and fire inside the structure. Fire personnel established a water supply, completed initial knockdown of the fire, and completed the primary and secondary searches of the home. No victims were found.
The fire was called under control at 3:02 p.m.
Fire Marshal Gene Robertson responded to the scene for the fire investigation. Upon completion of the investigation, the cause of the fire was determined to be accidental. No damage estimates are known at this time.
