Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Several varsity players return for the 2024 Scott City volleyball team, after an 18-17 record in 2023.

There are six seniors on this year’s squad, with four of them in their third year of varsity competition. Just one all-league selection returns in Megan Trout, who garnered second team honors a year ago.

The Lady Beavers are looking to get off to a good start this year, in another year that will see them be challenged early on with the Hays Maroon & Gold Invitataional, and a triangular in early September with Hoisington and Southeast of Saline.

A whole new coaching staff is working with around 35 players, as Hugo Cano is the new Scott City volleyball coach, and is assisted by Desiree Cooper and Mari Bennett.

Scott City opens with a triangular at Oakley with Wallace County on Friday, August 30, and will be at the Maroon & Gold Invitataional in Hays the following day.
