Pedestrian dies after being struck by semi in Mullinville

Kiowa County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Phillipsburg man was killed early Wednesday afternoon, when he was struck by a semi while crossing U.S. Highway 54 in Mullinville.

According to the report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, 50-year-old Richard Hubbard was walking northbound on 10th Avenue, crossing U.S. Highway 54 in Mullinville, when he was struck by a westbound 2016 International semi driven by 67-year-old Charles Cunningham of Pleasant Hope, Kansas. 

Hubbard was pronounced dead at the scene, while Cunningham was uninjured.
