Semi overturns in Scott County accident

Scott County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Scott City woman was taken to Scott County Hospital on Wednesday just before 1 pm, after a semi she was driving overturned.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol Report, a 2024 Kenworth Semi driven by 63-year-old Maxine L. Briggs was eastbound on Road 40, when she veered off the road to the left, and overturned and came to rest on the drivers side. 

Briggs was taken to Scott County Hospital for suspected minor injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt, according to the KHP report.
