Blowing dust the cause of Gray County accident
Gray County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A two-vehicle accident occurred just after 3 p.m. Monday afternoon in Gray County.
According to the report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2009 Chevrolet Impala driven by 17-year-old Lexus Shelby of Meade was westbound on US Highway 56, approximately four miles west of Ensign, when she rear-ended a westbound 2017 Nissan Murano driven by 50-year-old Kristy L Warnock of Hardesty. Warnock slowed down due to blowing dust and low visibility.
Shelby was taken to Meade District Hospital for suspected minor injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt. According to the KHP report, it was unknown if Warnock was wearing a seatbelt.
