Garden City man arrested in DUI crash
Garden City, Kan.–A Garden City man was arrested for driving under the influence after crashing his vehicle into a utility pole Saturday afternoon.
According to the release from the GCPD, 24-year-old Emmanuel Tuyishime, faces charges from the incident.
Around 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Officers of the Garden City Police Department responded to the 300 block of E. Pine Street for a non-injury accident where a vehicle struck a utility pole. The investigation revealed that Tuyishime was traveling westbound on Pine Street at a reported high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pole. Through further investigation, it was determined Tuyishime was driving under the influence and was taken into custody. Tuyishime also provided a false name to Officers during their investigation.
Tuyishime was lodged in the Finney County Jail for DUI, Mistemeanor for Interference of a Law Enforcement Officer, and Driving While Suspended.
