About US-83 Communities Roadway Safety Plan
In 2022, USDOT awarded a grant with a local match from KDOT to develop a Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Action plan for the cities of Garden City, Holcomb, Liberal, Oakley, Oberlin, and Scott City and the counties of Decatur, Finney, Haskell, Logan, Scott and Seward.
The US-83 Communities Roadway Safety Plan will create a shared vision for roadway safety within the study area. The plan will identify key safety corridors within the US-83 communities that will have implementation actions for short and long-term future improvements. Public input is vital to creating a plan representative of the community’s desires for the future!
