Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Garden City Invitational tennis meet was moved to Friday, because of the cooler and potential wet weather on Saturday. Friday’s meet would be played in cool conditions, as Scott City would defend their team title, edging Garden City. It was an open, which means that there were no designated No. 1 or No. 2 divisions, which is similar to regional and state competition.

The Beavers would win the meet with 122 points, while Garden City was second with 112 and Hays was third with 111 points.
