Derby wins Dodge City Invitational
Dodge City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Dodge City Invitational saw a cooler and windy Thursday afternoon of golf at Mariah Hills, as 16 teams made their way to the invitational.
Derby would win by three shots over Goddard-Eisenhower to win the team title, while Dodge City was third. Garden City was eighth, and Elkhart placed ninth.
Individually, the tournament was won by Derby’s Cael Asmann, who was six-under, with a round of 66. Garden City’s Maddix Shook tied for second with a round of 72, while Dodge City’s Aidan Robinson tied for fifth with a round of 75, Bodie Higgins from Elkhart was 11th with a 78, Grayden Gamblin of Dodge City was 12th with a score of 79 and Scott City’s Jackson Rumfor shot an 80, good for a tie for 13th.
