Goodland wins home invite, three area golfers medal
Goodland, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Tuesday may have been the best day for golf to this point this year, as several schools made the trip to Goodland for the Goodland Invitational at Sugar Hills Golf Club.
Goodland would take the team title by 13 shots over Colby, while Oakley was right behind Colby in third. Scott City was fifth in the 17-team tournament.
Norton’s Eli Jones would be the tournament champion with a round of 77. From the area, Jackson Rumford from Scott City tied for ninth, Greeley County’s Lincoln Shafer tied for 11th and Scott City’s Matthew Wheeler tied for 14th.
