Scott City’s Castillo signs with Labette Volleyball
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Dayanara Castillo had a dream of playing volleyball beyond high school. On Friday, that dream came true, as she made it official by signing her letter of intent to play volleyball at Labette Community College in Parsons.
In her senior season, Castillo earned All-League honors in the Great West Activities Conference, leading the team with 206 kills, 47 service aces, and had an 89% serve percentage. She was a three-year player for the Lady Beavers on the varsity team.
Castillo chose Labette over Barton and Pratt. She plans on majoring in psychology, with plans on becoming a mental health counselor.
