Resurfacing project to resume on K-23 Highway in Finney County
Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A resurfacing project will resume on Kansas Highway 23 in Finney County.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane starting March 25 along K-23 from the K-156 junction 14 miles north to the Finney/Lane County line, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
The lane reduction is necessary for resurfacing work to resume along K-23. Signs and cones will mark the work area. Motorists should be aware of delays of up to 15 minutes as one-lane traffic will be directed by flaggers and a pilot car through the work zone. K-23 will be open to normal traffic when construction is not taking place.
Venture Corporation, from Great Bend, is the contractor on this $7.6 million project, which is expected to be completed by mid-May, weather permitting.
