GARDEN CITY, Kan. – It’s the final week of Buffaloes’ basketball. Both teams celebrated senior nights with rivalry wins over Dodge City, and now prepare for their substates journey to begin.

Buff Talk returned from Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom Monday night. The show featured a focus on boy’s and girl’s basketball ahead of their regular season finale against Liberal on Tuesday.

Student athletes Brody Burns and Dallas Rosales led off the show to talk about their growths throughout the season. Both have taken on more responsibility this season with their increased roles.

Boy’s head coach Luke Swedberg joined in next to talk about his team’s improvement throughout the month of February. The Buffaloes look to finish up this month 5-3 in the regular season with a sweep over Liberal on Tuesday.

Finally, girl’s head coach Jacob Miller closed the show talking about his team’s first win over Dodge City in five seasons. Miller also discussed the possibility of hosting a substate playoff game, which would also be for the first time in five years.

Thank you so much to Rosales, Burns, and head coaches Swedberg and Miller for joining this week’s show. Special thank you goes to Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom for their great hospitality.

Buff Talk airs live on 99.9 ‘The Rock’ Monday nights from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M.
