Area athletes selected for 8-Man All-Star games
Several Southwest Kansas area athletes were selected on Saturday by the Kansas Eight Man Football Association, to participate in the annual Kansas 8-Man All-Star Games in June.
In 8-Man, Division I, selected for the West team from the area include Meade’s Bradon Bird & Brock Keith, and Wyatt Gardner, Christopher Michel & Brandon Price from Wichita County.
From the area for the 8-Man, Division II game, Bucklin’s Andrew Bowman, Matthew Patterson & Owen Reece from Hodgeman County, Kaden Arensman & Conner Chamberlain from Kinsley, Minneola’s Eli Lang & James Littlewood, and Satanta’s Joseph Anderson. Serving as an assistant is Hodgeman County coach Matt Housman, and Kinsley coach Corey Dunlap.
The Kansas 8-Man All-Star games will take place on Saturday, June 8 at Trojan Field in Beloit. The 8-Man, Division I game starts off at 10 am, while the 8-Man, Division II game is at 1:30 pm.
