Garden City man arrested after injuring infant

Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Garden City man was arrested early Sunday morning in connection to a domestic battery.

According to the release from the Garden City Police Department, 29-year-old Brandon Pugh, faces charges from the incident, which also left an infant seriously injured.

Around 2:30 am Sunday morning, Officers of the Garden City Police Department were dispatched to the east part of Garden City for a reported battery. Officers learned that Pugh and a woman known to him got into an argument when Pugh allegedly began punching the woman as she held a 2-month-old child. At some point while battering the woman, Pugh struck the infant in the head. The infant was transported to St. Catherine Hospital by Finney County EMS and later flown to Wichita due to the extent of their injuries.
 
Pugh was arrested and lodged in the Finney County Jail for Domestic Battery, Abuse of a Child, and Aggravated Child Endangerment.
