Body of preterm baby found in Dodge City pond

Dodge City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Dodge City Police are investigating a case where a preterm baby would found in a pond on Friday.

Just after 4:30 pm on Friday, police officers were dispatched to a call about a baby in a pond near University Drive and Hillpoint Way. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased infant, estimated to be between 22 to 24 weeks gestation.

The officers are currently searching the area for witnesses or camera footage.
