Garden City man arrested in aggravated assault case
Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Garden City man was arrested Saturday morning in connection to an aggravated assault.
Officers arrested 50-year-old Fray Membreno-Sanabria, as he faces charges from the incident.
At around 7:30 am Saturday morning, Officers of the Garden City Police Department were dispatched to the southeast part of Garden City for a disturbance. When Officers arrived, they observed Membreno-Sanabria with family members in front of their residence when Membreno-Sanabria shot a firearm into the driveway. Officers instructed Membreno-Sanabria to drop the weapon, and after several commands, Membreno-Sanabria dropped the firearm and was taken into custody without incident.
The investigation revealed that Membreno-Sanabria was allegedly intoxicated, and family members left the residence out of safety but later returned. Upon their return, Membreno-Sanabria allegedly pointed the firearm and threatened harmed against the family members multiple times.
Membreno-Sanabria was lodged in the Finney County Jail for Aggravated Assault, Criminal Threat, and Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm.
