GARDEN CITY, KS. – With one season finishing up, two more seasons have gotten underway at Garden City Community College.

The Garden City Community College Coach’s Show returned from Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom on Thursday night. The show was the last one before Thanksgiving, and brought several guests – and families- to OC.

Men’s basketball has responded to a 1-2 start with back-to-back blowout wins over Sterling JV and Frank Phillips. Second-year coach Rusty Elmore opened the show talking about his team’s first five games, and the addition of new center, Charles Chukwu.

The Greg Franklin era has gotten off to a perfect start in Garden City. The first-year women’s basketball coach came on to talk about his team’s strong start and his first experience of the JHayhawk Conference.

Finally, football season wrapped up with a 26-21 win over Coffeyville on Saturday. Five Broncbusters were named second-team all-conference, including returning linebacker Gyriece Goodman. Goodman joined the show to talk about his stellar season and his future ahead.

Thank you so much to coaches Elmore and Franklin, along with Gyriece Goodman, for joining the show. As always, a special thank you goes to Old Chicago for their great hospitality.
