Ulysses man arrested in Scott City on drug possession

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Ulysses man was arrested on Thursday in connection to suspicious activity in an abandoned house, that ended in a traffic stop.

Just before 8 am Thursday morning, the Scott City Police Department responded to a suspicious activity call in the 300 block of north College Street. The reporting party stated individuals had been going inside an abandoned house in the area.
 
The suspect or suspects had already left the area when the Officers arrived. Officers were able to identify a possible suspect and began searching for the suspect. After 3 pm Thursday afternoon, Officers located the suspect vehicle at Main and Bellevue and performed a traffic stop.
 
As a result of the investigation, Officers arrested  36-year-old Eric Hernandez of Ulysses, for the charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Transportation of an open container, Possession of Stolen Property, and Probation Violation out of Grant County.
 
Hernandez was transported to the Scott County Jail.
